Mobile app development for Noesis with GO!Appzone Studio - 27/08/2015

Using GO!Appzone Studio app development IDE we designed and developed a pack of two cross-platform mobile apps for the needs of "Noesis" Science Center &Technology Museum in Thessaloniki.

The Digital Archive mobile app provides users with remote access to "Noesis" and all of the exhibits. The items are organized in thematic categories and they can be viewed with all relative information (general info, historical data, characteristics, images and video etc.). Additionally users can see updates and news about activities and events of the museum. Finally, they can save selected items to their "favorites" folder for reference, or share content on social media by logging in to their online accounts.

The Virtual Guide Mobile app is designed for use within the range of "Noesis" facilities as a physical navigation assistant. Either by QR scan, or by taking a photo, or by entering the 5-digit unique id number each exhibit can be associated with a view within the app that provides all relative content (description, multimedia etc). At the same time, the app can provide you with nearby exhibit suggestions by locating your position.

Noesis' mobile applications come together with a third, web-based application for touchscreen infokiosks. The infokiosks help visitors familiarize themselves with the Museum facilities, exhibitions and current events for an optimized experience of their visit.
Mobile and web application administrators can easily manage the content of all applications from a single interface using Citron2CMS platform, developed by Altanet.
